Ingredients

  • 50 grams of fresh mugwort
  • 250 grams of flour
  • Appropriate amounts of sesame oil, spicy chili powder, green onions, and minced garlic

Preparation Method

  1. Remove the hard stems and wilted leaves from the fresh mugwort and clean it thoroughly to remove any dirt and sand.
  2. Blanch the mugwort in boiling water.
  3. After blanching, mix the mugwort with flour, ensuring that all the mugwort is coated with flour.
  4. Spread the mixture in a steaming tray and steam for about 30 to 40 minutes.
  5. The steamed mugwort will turn a grayish-white color and lose its strong aromatic medicinal scent. Transfer it to a bowl and mix with seasonings made from sesame oil, spicy chili powder, green onions, and minced garlic.

Mugwort has traditional functions such as regulating menstruation, stopping bleeding, stabilizing pregnancy, and dispelling cold and dampness. In modern medicine, it is recognized for its effectiveness in relieving cough and easing asthma.
